    New to Splunk? This session is for you! You'll learn about searching, alerting, reporting, dashboards, deployment and integration.
  • Building an Analytics-Enabled SOC with Splunk
    Learn best practices for deploying an analytics-enabled SOC with a Splunk security expert. Whether you are interested in building a SOC, enhancing an existing SOC, or building out a security practice, this session will explain the people, processes, and technology required. The discussion will also cover how Splunk can complement a SIEM that may already be in place in the SOC.
  • New Splunk Management Solutions Update: Splunk MINT and Splunk App for Stream
    Join us to learn what is new in Splunk App for Stream and how it can help you utilize wire/network data analytics to proactively resolve applications and IT operational issues and to efficiently analyze security threats in real-time, across your cloud and on-premises infrastructures. Additionally, you will learn about Splunk MINT, which allows you to gain operational intelligence on the availability, performance, and usage of your mobile apps. You’ll learn how to instrument your mobile apps for operational insight, and how you can build the dashboards, alerts, and searches you need to gain real-time insight on your mobile apps.

In this session we will discuss and demo how you can use Splunk software to gain insights into machine data generated by devices and control systems. We’ll cover common themes in use cases, and show you how to access the free apps and add-ons that simplify the connection and collection of data from both industrial systems and the Internet of Things. In addition we will introduce you to Splunk’s growing ecosystem of IoT and Industrial focused technology partners.
  • Splunk for Security Workshop
    Learn from a Splunk security expert how to use Splunk Enterprise in a live, hands-on incident investigation session. We'll use Splunk to disrupt an adversary's Kill Chain by finding the Actions on Intent, Exploitation Methods, and Reconnaissance Tactics used against a simulated organization. Data investigated will include threat list intelligence feeds, endpoint activity logs, e-mail logs, and web access logs. This session is a must for all security experts! Please bring your laptop as this is a hands-on session.
  • Detection and Response with Splunk+FireEye
    Thousands of Security Operations Teams (SOCs) and Computer Incident Response Teams (CIRTs) use Splunk and FireEye. But many of them don't know that the combination can be greater than the sum of the parts. This session will cover FireEye's approach to information security, show how the FireEye App for Splunk can bring FireEye data and alerts into Splunk for enterprise-wide analytics, and explain how FireEye's TAP Detect offering can integrate FireEye's industry-leading threat intelligence with your Splunk instance for supercharged threat detection.

  • Should I bring my laptop? Yes! Make sure to download Splunk first: http://www.splunk.com/download
  • Will there be wireless internet? Yes! There will be an announcement at the beginning of the day covering network and passwords.
  • What time should I show up? We start promptly at 9:00am - make sure to arrive by 8:30am to snag a good seat!
  • Is there a dress code? Dress code is business casual. If you want show your Splunk pride by wearing your favorite Splunk t-shirt—that's also welcome!
  • Will parking be included? Unfortunately Splunk doesn't cover parking expenses but we'll include lunch and a collector's t-shirt!
